Lead Control Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Control Systems Engineer to coordinate the engineering activities in accordance to agreed time, budget and quality, as well as the active managment and developement of the engineering teams, with support of the Area Manager. You will drive a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration and innovation across the business. This role will be responsible in supporting senior management, in the development of the strategic direction of the business and advise on the technical feasibility of projects.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide technical leadership and governance for the engineering teams.

  • Motivate and influence personnel to work as a cohesive, productive and safe team focused on achieving specified outcomes in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate and execute the design, engineering, testing and commissioning of underground projects and internal R&D.

  • Actively contribute to the development of the engineering strategy aligning to the overall corporate and market strategy.

  • Contractor management of personnel required to complete the project works

  • Communicating closely with the Area and Project Managers, to review performance and progress, ensure scope clarity and provide departmental feedback.

  • Represent the Engineering team at planning and production meetings

  • Comply with InSig Technologies and customer SHEQ and WHS requirements.



Knowledge, Skills and Experience


Essential

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (4-year duration) accredited by National Industry body at level of Professional Engineer.

  • Broad expert technical knowledge of underground mining.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and guide project teams in technical excellence as well as the with the capacity to build professional relationships both internally and client facing.

  • Business planning, budgeting and commercial acumen.

  • High level consulting and client management skills.

  • Proven engineering management skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and implement plans to gain competitive advantage and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of systems, procedures and practices.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of organisational approach to risk management, ethics and safety.

  • Be agile and foster an inclusive culture, through collaboration, strong learning agility and ability manage complexity.

  • WA C Class Manual Driver’s license. (or equivalent)



Desirable:



  • Previous construction and commissioning experience – highly regarded.

  • Project management experience, Cost tracking and Quoting within the engineering industry

  • TUV Functional Safety Certification

  • Previous Controls & Commissioning experience in winders.
