Key Accountabilities:

• Coach and support your team with all aspects of software design and coding.

• Work closely with the product owners and Iteration managers to estimate tasks and plan out sprints

• Contribute to daily stand-ups, sprint retrospective and sprint planning

• Collect and document of user requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.

• Create, estimate, and own technical scrum tasks and activities.

• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards that delivers functionality as requested by the Delivery and Architecture teams.

• Ensure compliance with the InSig Technologies Software Development Processes and Procedures and Code Design Principles

• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.

• Package and support deployment of releases.

• Writing programming code that is commented and documented as well as testable. Maintain code repositories as well as code development and deployment environments.

• Contribute to post implementation reviews helping to demonstrate success or otherwise of projects, identifying lessons to take forward to future projects.

• Provide regular and effective progress updates to and work closely with Iteration Managers to ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues.

• Identify, raise, and contribute to architectural design decisions.

• Maintain project Azure DevOps boards with up-to-date information about assigned tasks.

• Writing technical documents for new software systems.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Software Development, Information Systems or other relevant discipline, or equivalent level or professional competence and experience

• 5-10 years experience in technical leadership role, leading a team of 15 engineers.

• Experience in microservices and programming languages including Vue, C#, Typescript

• Knowledge of Cloud technologies including Postgres, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake

• Knowledge of source repositories including GitHub.

• Knowledge of API’s, REST, JSON, XML

• Proven experience in solving complex business and technical problems using modern software development practices

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written): you can break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas

• Excellent task management, with a flexible, proactive and autonomous nature

Desirable:

• Experience in any of the following would be an advantage: Unity, AI, VR

• Knowledge of the Mining technologies and Resources sector, particularly underground mining.

• Experience with LiDAR and/or Geospatial algorithms
