About the job

The BA will work with key business and project stakeholders to define requirements and monitor project outcomes that meet business expectations. Your attention to detail during solution testing will align with “InSig Technologies” quality value. You will assist with the business change management process to ensure the solution is embedded in the business and provide training where required.

You will be working towards the development of a digital mining platform for an international mining organisation. The solutions will provide remote enablement and automation capability across multiple regions that will increase operational visibility and ultimately support improved decision-making across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and documenting business requirements by working closely with project sponsors and business owners as well as architects, developers and testers;

  • Lead workshops, document the functional and non-functional requirements with the business stakeholders, technical team as well as project team;

  • Evaluate, develop and analyse business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions;

  • Building relationships and developing platform advocacy across a variety of stakeholders including internal customers, vendor and partners;

  • Triage issues, record feedback, and find small features for modification;

  • Produce documentation in accordance with prevailing client standards and methodologies.

  • Review of test plans to ensure compliance with requirements;

  • Evaluate and document any change impacts; and

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an IT Business Analyst position;

  • BABOK accreditation;

  • Knowledge of the Mining technologies and Resources particularly underground mining;

  • Strong requirements gathering skills;

  • Running and facilitating workshops;

  • Stakeholder management/communication skills;

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively translate business requirements in to functional designs;

  • Data analysis and requirements mapping to functional designs; and

  • Competent in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
